Description
Glyde for Dogs supports cartilage metabolism. It contains three separate biological compounds:
- Glucosamine is a precursor to the production of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which form the major building blocks of cartilage and the lubricating fluid within the joint.
- Chondroitin sulfate is one of the main GAGs.
- Green-lipped mussel powder is a source of GAGs and omega 3 fatty acids, including eicosatetraenoic acid (ETA).
Long-term treatment may help reduce non-infectious joint inflammation and may help in the relief of arthritic symptoms in dogs. Suitable for use in active or ageing dogs. Use in pregnant animals is not recommended.
The powder should be sprinkled on or mixed with food. A small amount of moist food is preferred to ensure that the entire amount is consumed. Initially give 1 scoop per 10 kg bodyweight daily for four to six weeks. For maintenance, give 1/2 scoop per 10 kg bodyweight daily. 1 scoop= 5ml (approx. 3g)
